Can I bring my own gear instead of using yours?
Absolutely! We understand that you may have gear of your own such as a sleeping bag or bike that you prefer to use. We are happy to coordinate with you on all the gear for the trip.
Will I have cell phone service or wifi on your trips?
Cell phone coverage may be limited or completely unavailable on Leeto Trips.

It's best to assume you will not have any cell signal, and plan in advance to set your life up so you do not need to be contacted during the trip.

Lodge based trips are likely to have wifi, but not guaranteed. Feel free to reach out to us and we can let you know about the lodge amenities.

Additionally, if we do have cell signal/ wifi, to help preserve the experience for yourself and the other guests, we ask that guests stay off of their phone/ computer/ electronics during the day while participating in group activities (with the exception of taking photos of course).

Consider putting your phone on airplane mode for the weekend. Of course you can do what you like with your electronics during down times in your room or tent, as long as it is not a nuisance to others around you.

Your trip guides will have an emergency satellite phone with them when we are out on activities. We will provide you with this phone number in advance to give to key people in your life, so they can reach you in the event of an emergency.
Our goal is for you to be able to relax, be present, unplug and enjoy the experience.
Will there be electricity on your trips?
Lodge based trips will have electricity while at the lodge, but will likely not have access to electricity while participating in the activities for the day.

Camping based trips will not have electricity. Guides will have a portable solar panel and charger with them to help ensure the GPS and satellite phone have full power in the event of an emergency. These chargers will not be available for guests to use.
What will meals be like on Leeto Trips?
At Leeto, providing fantastic meals using high quality ingredients is a top priority for us.

We believe in supporting our local economy, and try to source our foods when possible locally. In addition, we try to purchase our ingredients based on what is available seasonally. We feel that purchasing local, and seasonal ingredients provides better tasting, more nutritious ingredients for our guests. We make the trade off choosing higher quality ingredients, sourced from a better location over cheap, lower quality products.

Our menus are written custom for each trip based on the dietary needs and preferences of our guests. There will always be options for guests with specific dietary needs or restrictions.

Most trips will have meals prepared by a resident private chef on the trip.
What if there is bad weather?
Guest safety and happiness is the top priority for Leeto and our guides.

Guides stay well informed about weather before and during trips.

Some trips may encounter poor weather. If poor weather is encountered during a trip, guides will make a plan to ensure everyone is safe and as comfortable as possible.
Guides bring gear on all trips to ensure guests have shelter from poor weather, even when out in the backcountry.

All Leeto trips have one or multiple contingency itineraries in case weather or other conditions prevent us from completing the initial trip itineraries.

In the event of conditions that would make the trip unsafe, or miserable for guests, Leeto will reschedule the trip.
Fitness &
Activities
What type of training do you provide?
All our training is remotly based and does not require you to meet in person. We design training plans for you based on your interests, needs and access to equipment. We then check in with you on a weekly basis to ensure that the training plan is meeting your needs.
We use CoachRx as our online platform for accessing your custom training plan. This platform will provide clients with written directions for each type of movement as well as instructive videos. It also allows clients to record themselves and upload your video to your coach so you can get feedback on your movement qualities.
How fit do I have to be to go on a Leeto trip?
We meet you where you are at in terms of your fitness level.
Leetos specialty is helping you train to prepare for your adventure.
All Leeto trips come with 1 month pre-trip training included in the trip price. If you you need additional training we can work with you to make a reccomendation for how much pre-trip training would be needed to get you to a fitness level where you can be successful on a Leeto trip.
Reach out to us and we will help build the correct training timeline for the trip you are considering.
What are your difficulty ratings?
We use a difficulty scale of 1 (easiest) - 5 (hardest) for our trips. Click Here to learn more about the intensity of activities and fitness requirements for each type of trip.

Camping
What will the camping accommodations be like?
On our camping trips you will be living and sleeping outdoors. Leeto will be providing you with the basics to have a comfortable sleep including:
-
Tent
-
Sleeping bag
-
Sleeping bag liner
-
Foam Sleeping pad
-
Inflatable Sleeping pad
-
Camping pillow
All gear we supply is of the highest quality and newest camping technology. As well we ensure all our gear is clean and well maintained, so what is provided works great for you.
You will have the option to choose in advance if you want a private tent, or to share a tent with another. We have found that some individuals who are nervous about camping feel safer when sleeping in a tent with another person.
Camping locations will be in primitive camp locations- i.e. camping in established camp spots that are not recreational campgrounds.
Do I have to sleep on the ground when camping?
In short- Yes.
But you will be provided a sleeping pad which will give both support and insulation from the ground.

If you are less than stoked about the concept of sleeping on the ground- Leeto offers multiple Non-Camping trips with indoor lodging, these trips may be a better fit for your interests.
Will there be flush toilets when we are camping? How does going to the bathroom work?
This is probably not the topic you expected to talk about/ think about when planning a vacation, but it is a very important one.

On our camping trips we will be in the wilderness, therefore there is no running water and no flush toilets. Some campsites will have pit or composting toilets at their facilities, and some will have more primitive options.
Though it may be surprising to you, taking a poop with a beautiful view in the wilderness can be a rare and wonderful event. If nothing else, it will be a memorable experience for you.

A typical primitive latrine involves walking at least 200 ft away from camp, trails and water, digging a hole at least 6 inches in depth, and squatting to conduct your business. When done covering everything over with dirt.

Each guest will be provided with a toilet kit, providing you with the necessary tools (shovel, toilet paper, baby wipes etc.) to comfortably poop in the woods.

We will have extensive discussions about pooping in the woods at the start of the trip to ensure all guests have the necessary knowledge for their own comfort and safety.
How will I shower while camping?
Our campsites will not have running water for showers. Leeto will have a small rustic bathing set up available for our guests to use. On camping trips guests should not come expecting a regular home shower. Bathing will consist of cold stream, or ocean water. At times if we are staying at a base camp guests may be able to warm the water (slightly) in a solar water container we provide.

You also have the option to take a swim in one of the streams or ocean to rinse off.

Leeto will be providing camping towels and biodegradable soap, as regular soaps are toxic to the fragile ecosystem we will be staying in- so please leave your shower toiletries at home.
An important note is- even the biodegradable soap is not great for the environment when used in excess, or when used directly in water sources.

Guides will help educate you on how to set up a bathing system in the backcountry that keeps you and the environment safe.
